The Story So Far
The TRAIL RUNNERS running clubs were sparked as a passion project in 2019 when an apparent gap in the running landscape was identified in Bristol. The project-turned-business then grew out of the post Covid world when we could see a real demand for organised trail running. We started with just a handful of local people, but quickly grew as we caught the imagination of the local running community.

In 2023 we expanded our local offering by launching Bath Trail Runners before adding a further three clubs (all franchises) in 2025 to the family; Cheltenham & Gloucester Trail Runners, South East London Trail Runners, and Ipswich Trail Runners.
Emerging as one of the world’s fastest growing sports, we believe in making trail running accessible to the whole running community.
Our goal is to share beautiful running locations with as many people as we can, providing headspace and escapism from the
daily grind and creating fun and exciting adventures for intrepid runners.
By offering social running and structured training sessions and coaching, our communities attract new runners right through to competitive athletes.

We are England Athletics affiliated and have attracted the support and partnerships of some great local and national brands, as well as getting amazing feedback and support from trail running greats like Damian Hall and Allie Bailey.
